Thank You Farmer – Shimmer Sun Essence Review

Sun protection is super important in any skincare routine. I am going to talk about the Thank You Farmer Sun Project Shimmer Sun Essence. The Sun Project line is made up of three different types of sunscreens, shimmer, light, and water. I give you a clue to what I think about the shimmer one is that I LIKE IT A LOT! Let me tell you more…

Packaging and Texture

The pink sun essence comes in a slim 40ml/1.40 fl oz pearly pink tube. It is a twist off cap with tip dispenser. The essence is SPF 30 PA++ and the texture is like a very light pink toned cream. The shimmer sun essence does contain shimmer. But don’t worry, it’s very fine you and can’t even tell when you’ve applied it. But it does impart a very dewy glow. The essence is light, not greasy or sticky, and there wasn’t a noticeable white cast. The cream absorbs quickly and it is super easy to rub into the skin, thanks to the Caprylic/Capric Trigyceride. It also didn’t sting my eyes.

This sunscreen is a mix of physical and chemical. Titanium dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, and Ethylhexyl Salicylate is used. It does contain PEG-100 and the pink color comes from dye. There is also added fragrance. The smell is a sweet floral scent, noticeable but not very strong. It has aloe leaf extract, shea butter, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower water, Althaea Rosea Flower extract, and Plukenetia Volubilis oil for skin hydration and protection. It’s not waterproof though because it can easily washed off with just water.

My Review

I really like this suncreen! I’m seriously always running out the door without makeup on so i just keep this in my my bag and as I am going down the elevator I apply it before I first step into morning sunshine. It also feels nice on the skin and acts as a perfect makeup base. I love how it looks on it’s own as well. Natural dewy glow is what I live for! If you work indoors most of the time a light SPF like this one is a great choice.

They are sold in Ulta and Cult Beauty! They have an online shop in Korean at and the serum costs 26,000KRW.

Again, these products were sent to me from the K-Beauty Expo for review purposes. My opinions are my own and 100% honest!
