COSRX- One Step Moisture Up Pad💦

Hi guys! I have been fighting off a cold this whole week and what a great way to spend my Saturday relaxing at home and writing a new post on a hot product! It’s the COSRX One Step Moisture Up Pad. It was launched a couple months ago following huge popularity of the COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pad in early spring this year. It has the same packaging and number of pads. The main ingredient in the Pimple Clear Pad is betaine salicylate and in the Moisture Up Pad its hyaluronic acid.

The cotton pad has a textured side and a smooth side. The bumpy side is there to gently remove dead skin and flakes. It is also formulated with BHA which helps brighten and also help clean out your pores, so even though it’s a moisture pad it’s still great for oily/acne prone skin. It also has propolis extract which nourishes the skin and replenishes the skin to it’s original state. The hyaluronic acid provides optimum hydration as well as added cetearyl olivate which is a emulsifier from olive oil, reduces skin water loss, has a high moisturizing effect, is hypoallergenic and biomimics the skin.

There are no skin irritating ingredients so it’s also great for sensitive skin. It smell really good, the bergamot and lemon oil as a wonderful aroma. I like using it because it’s great for my dry skin and I can get the cleaning benefits of the original Pimple Up Pad. I’ve been using it in the morning and evening as a toner and a 2nd cleansing pad. It’s great to use for fixing your makeup or makeshift mask sheet too. It doesn’t have a sticky feeling either.

It costs 25,000KRW but it’s on promotion for 17,000KRW. I don’t think I would have full price for it though. If you use it twice a day it’s about 714 KRW per day, with the price I paid I pay less than 500KRW per day. Honestly I have better toners/cleansers than this one so I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing. However, if you like the no fuss feature of this product it’s worth trying out.

Lip Service- Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask Review AND my Weird Quirk Revealed!

Hey guys! I just had an awesome full day hanging out with my brother, boyfriend, and his parents, so I’m just sitting down now to write this post! If you follow on Instagram I let you guys know already that I would be reviewing the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I love sleeping masks because it’s just so quick and easy and it involves sleep! This isn’t a new product or anything and I’m sure there are tons of other reviews on it, but hey another review won’t hurt right? Hehe, okay let’s get started.

I bought this at my Aritaum store earlier this week for 18,000KRW. It comes in a pink gradation plastic tub, kind of like a big lip balm container, and it comes with a the tiniest and cutest little pink silicone tipped spatula that has it’s own little pouch. It’s already #winning 😆. Inside there is a sherbet like peachy pink balm that is ready to be slathered all over the lips. It smells like cherry-cotton candy with a hint of berry. This is probably because it is formulated with a mix of vitamin C rich super berries like goji, strawberry, blueberry, cranberry, and raspberry. It also has a Moisture Wrap system which is a network of hyaluronic mineral that creates a film over the lips to keep the moisture from escaping. So instead of the old school cling film over petroleum jelly on the lips to condition them and risk suffocating or choking, you have this handy dandy product.

So who might want or need this? People who have chronic dry cracked lips, those of us who use a lot of lip products especially the ever so popular liquid matte lipsticks. Who can’t be bothered to apply lip balm during the day, or just if you want to treat your lips to a little bit of concentrated care. I fall in to all of these categories, and here is where I reveal my weird quirk… so I like to rub my cotton bed sheets on my lips because it relaxes me and I like how it feels… 😳, but it causes my lips to get very chapped and give me dry patches. ANYWAY, the point it that this mask has helped with the flakes but also prevents me from doing this weird thing that I do because I have pink jelly goodness all over my lips.

I can say that my lips feel super supple and soft the next morning. I sleep in the weirdest positions so when I wakeup I don’t have a lot of it left over on my lips to wipe off, but if you tend to sleep in one position and very still it will probably stay on your lips. It kinda sits on top of your lips, I think that’s what the Moisture Wrap is, that while it doesn’t let the moisture out it has a film over the lips. The next morning my lips flakes are very soft so I am able to gently rub it off. Putting lip makeup on the next day is a dream! Smoother application and it just seems like my lips have more shape.

I think this is a product that a lot of people would enjoy. If you don’t like the feeling of heavy balm on your lips even just a thin layer is enough to create a moisture barrier on your lips. Also it has barely has any taste, I think it’s very slightly sweet, or I could be imaging this all in my brain. To use just scoop a little bit of product with the spatula and spread all over the lips. Use the pointed part to get into the corners of the lips. Sleeping mask and the lip sleeping mask is a dreamy spa that I will be enjoying tonight! I hope you found this review helpful!

Sleeping packs, yay or nay?

🌿For The Green Tea Lovers🌿 – Tony Moly The Chok Chok Green Tea

Hello and welcome to the weekend! Today I’m going to review 2 Tony Moly products the Chok Chok Green Tea Cleansing Water and the Watery Cream from the same line. I just went into buy the cream but at the store they were doing a promotion so I got it as a set. I bought it because last time I was at the store I got a sample of the toner and lotion from the same line. I really liked the lotion, and since I don’t really use lotions I got the cream. The cream is 15,500KRW which is a pretty good price in my opinion for a 60ml of product. It already had a ton of good reviews on it and I’ve used other green tea creams before  like the one from Innisfree and I wanted to try a different kind. For those of you who don’t know Korean ‘chok chok’ means that something is wet or moist. So this skincare line is focused on hydration which I am always in need of.

The special thing about the cream is that it is made with fermented green tea extract rather than plain old water. The green tea leaves are harvested during April to June and then naturally fermented for a year in clay pots. This makes the cream better in delivering moisture to the skin. The green tea is scaled 0-2 on the Environmental Working Group which means that it is a low hazard ingredient, this means less harmful chemicals on the skin. The cream is also is a cream-gel texture that it good for any kind of skin type. Also it doesn’t have an overly sticky or oily feeling to it. I can wear it alone and my skin will feel comfortable and not dried out. Also it makes my skin so soft and smooth in the morning! I can’t say anything bad about the cream except that it doesn’t do anything else than hydrating the skin. It’s not an anti age/whitening/firming cream. It’s just your basic watery cream. But don’t let that hinder you from this product, it’s really good just use a really good serum beforehand.

Now the cleansing water I have to say is just as good as the cream. It does what it says it does and removes all of my makeup, even waterproof mascara and eyeliner. My skin doesn’t feel dried out either, just clean and soft. I would still recommend washing with a foam or bar cleanser, but that’s because I’m a skin clean freak. This is a very good product for those who have sensitive skin and for those who don’t like oily cleansers. I’m not sure how much the cleaner is… I’ve been trying to find it on the Tony Moly website, but I can’t seem to find it on there.

If you’re in a dire need of good hydration on a budget then the cream is a great purchase. I give this cream two thumbs up for it’s texture, ingredients, performance and price. I’ll be looking in for more Tony Moly skincare! This Chok Chok Green Tea line has put them on my radar.
