Hey guys! Hope you’re having a great day because I’m here with a new product review! It’s the Tony Moly Liptone Get It Tint HD and it came out early May, I believe. I’m not really into tints, but the promotional video and photos, plus the in store promotion lured me into buying two. The in store promotion was that if you buy the tint they give you the care top coat for free. I thought they were going to give me the full size for some reason but when I got to the counter they gave me a miniature sized one. It was cute and free so whatever. Each tint as well as the full size care topcoat is 10,800KRW for 7g of product about 1,543KRW per gram. A little pricy… because the original Get It Tints are 9.5g and go for 8,000KRW. That’s a 2,800KRW jump up for less product, but then again it’s the ‘HD” version, so there’s probably a new formula and better ingredients. I’m just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt also because I don’t know how well the first Get It Tints are like… hahaha.
So the packaging is like the first version except that the HD ones have a mirror coated glass bottle. It comes with a safety cap so that in the case that it leaks it won’t get all over the place. If you like taking risks you can just take it off because it can get a bit bulky. The HD line has 7 colors to choose from and 1 clear top coat. What the new tint boasts is that you get the color that you see, and it’s long lasting, and comfortable to wear because of the oil rich formula. I’ll start with the ingredients, it contains 10 different kinds of natural oils and ingredients. These are apricot seed oil, shea butter, argan oil, jojoba oil, morning primrose oil, camellia oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride (derived from coconut and glycerine), mango seed extract, and rose hip extract. These are all great ingredients that won’t dry out you lips like watery tend to do, at least on my lips. If you want more moisturising care while wearing this tint or any other tint is that you can apply the clear top coat that contains all of the the ingredients listed above plus vitamin E, centella plant extract, witch hazel extract, peach extract, and calendula extract.
Does it says what it says it does? YES! The fluid looks a little brighter on the brush, but the color deepens and intensifies as it applies on the lips. The tint is really strong, it doesn’t budge. This has got to be the strongest, long-lasting tint I’ve ever tried. I am so serious! I will eat, lick my lips, wipe, and drink and still 90% of it will still be on my lips. CRAZY! It’s very hard to remove it, even with a oil cleanser the tint won’t come off completely… so this might be a downside. But they lady at the store did say that they were going to get a special remover for this type of tint, so I’m going to be on the look out for that. Also it does darken around the areas where it’s chapped so just be aware and prep your lips before hand as much as possible so that it doesn’t look splotchy. I bought the colors Kiss Kiss 04 and 03 Peach Punch. Both colors are super gorgeous, great colors for summer. Kiss Kiss is a Barbie pink and Peach punch is a deep orange peach pink.
With the top coat it will give it an extra glossy look but not an insane glossy look like your normal lipgloss. The top coat isn’t sticky either so it’s comfortable to wear and just makes the color pop a little more and instead of having to go over the lips adding more pigment, you can apply the top coat without worrying about the placement or intensity. You don’t really need to buy it in my opinion, but if you tend to have chapped lips or if you don’t reapply often then it might be something nice to have in your makeup pouch.
So what’s my verdict? These are a must have if you’re the type of person that never carries lip stuff in your bag. You can probably get away with applying once and not having to retouch it. Best tint ever? In my tint buying experience, yes. Would I recommend it to you? 100% yes! If you can get a hand on these you won’t be sorry!
