Hey guys! It’s a wonderful Wednesday, it rained so the air quality is a little better so that means no protective masks! I usually don’t wear them anyway, but for those of you who do, it’s the day to wear lipstick. Am I right? So anyway I wanted to review the Clio Professional Virgin Kiss Silkuid Lip when I first got it a few months ago, but I got distracted by other stuff. I bought one at first because it was on sale and when I was testing it out at the store I was so very impressed. Then I bought another one like a couple weeks after. So that’s my story, hahaha. Let’s get on with the review shall we?
Virgin Kiss is a line of lip products from Clio the line includes four different types, VK Tinted Lip, VK Silkuid Lip, VK Tension Lip, VK Lipnicure. The Silkuid Lip was launched this year for their S/S line. There are 8 colors to choose from #1 Mad Hatter, #2 Cheshire, #3Cream Salmon, #4 Drink Me, #5 Godpink, #6 Insane Red. It’s kinda strange that some of the names reference Alice in Wonderland. The colors I got where #2 Cheshire, a nude red, and #6 Insane Red, a vibrant true red. Since were on the topic of color, I just have to say the Silkuid Lips are so wonderfully pigmented. Oh my gloss, it’s so much color in one swoop. So in that area these are a no disappoint.
The texture is quite unique in a good way. Almost like mousse, but not as drying or powdery. It slides easily on to the lips and as it dries it ‘fits’ on to your lips. What I’m trying to say is that it adheres really well. The long pointed doe foot helps push the product to make clean lines which is also helpful when you’re using liquid lipsticks. Also, it’s super lightweight and doesn’t feel like you have lipstick on. It stays in place throughout the whole day, very little bleeding into the lines around the mouth unlike some liquid lipsticks. The Silkuid Lips are semi matte at first application then after a cup of coffee and water and eating it will settle to a matte finish. This just makes my lips look so good… like a virgin..?
I think these are so great! I kind of wish they had more colors to choose from, maybe they’ll add more in seasons to come. Each costs 16,000KRW or 19.00USD on the Club Clio English site. This review is making me want to go by a couple more… hahaha. I hope you found this review helpful, and if you get a chance try it out for yourself!
What colors would you pick?
