KICHO Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream Review

Hi!

Sunscreen is the should be in everyone’s skincare routine. There are so many to pick from and It’s always a trial and error to find the perfect one for your skin. I have reviewed quite a few on my blog and this is another sunscreen review to help you find your sunscreen match! The Kicho brand philosophy is to make skincare with natural ingredients that is used in oriental medicine. They have skincare, makeup, and even makeup brushes! It started out in 2013 and since then the brand has set foot in different countries in Southeast Asia and Russia. The Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sunscreen has been seen in the NY Times and has gained popularity since then.

Packaging and Ingredients

The suncreen comes in a tube with a pump. It has a very modern look all white with gold foiling detail. The SPF is 50+ PA+++, if you want more info about SPF then click here. The main sun protecting ingredient is Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, homosalate, Ethyhexyl Salicylate, and Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate. So this is a chemical sunscreen. I’m not that sensitive to chemical sunscreens, but if you are then this might be a pass for you. The other ingredients are mostly different plant extracts, 50 to be exact. Like soybean seed extract, oregano extract, willow bark extract, ginkgo extract, camellia leaf extract, and broccoli sprout extract. There are lots of bean extracts and soybean ferment to keep your skin moisturized as well. With all the natural extracts it has a fresh grassy, apple peel, slight musky smell.

Texture and Wear

The texture is a light gel cream. It smooths over the skin without any tugging or greasiness. It sinks in pretty quickly and leaves a nice hydrated feeling. The one think about this that I don’t like is that if you apply more than one layer or two pumps at once and rub it in it will start to pill in to balls. So I only use 1 pump and one layer before leaving the house or putting makeup on. Other than that I didn’t have any issues with the sunscreen. It didn’t irritate my skin or break me out. It doesn’t leave your skin looking shiny either.

Final Thoughts

This is another good sunscreen that I’ve tried. I would recommend this one especially for dry skin types because it is nice and hydrating. Even for oily and combination skin it doesn’t have a greasy finish, so don’t disregard it because it says ‘Ultra Moisturizing’. This costs 36,000KRW for 50ml/1.69 fl.oz. The Korean shop is at www.kichocosmetics.co.kr they also have a Chinese language shop as well, their ‘.com’ site was down, so I’m guessing they don’t have it anymore. One more thing before I go, this was a product sent to me from the K-Beauty Expo to review. All opinions stated above is my honest thoughts. If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to leave a comment!

See you in the next post!
