Hey guys, I’m back with a new review! I feel like it’s been ages since I sat and blogged. So Espoir in Korea is having a 30% off sale at the moment so I went in on Thursday and got myself the Pro Tailor EX liquid foundation that I had been eyeing for a long time. It came out about a year ago and I’m just getting my hands on it, it’s a shame I know… Also, this foundation got the 2016 Céci (Korean womans magazine) K-beauty award for best foundation, so I had to get it and try it out for myself.
Espoir has 3 versions of the Pro Tailor series, the stick foundation(not EX), liquid foundation, and cushion. Other than the way you use it the only difference between these three is that the stick is newer and has fewer shade options and has no SPF, the cushion has more SPF and has fewer shade options than the liquid foundation. The cushion and stick has 8 shades and the liquid foundation has 11 shades to choose from. YASSS! I got the shade Tan Healthy (Dark 2) I was considering Honey or Golden Honey, but Honey was too yellow on my skin and Golden Honey was too brown. I’d say the darkest shade is comparable to MAC NC35. The color I got is almost the same as my MUFE Ultra HD Foundation in Y315.
I really like the consistency of the foundation because it’s neither too creamy nor too runny. It’s what perfect liquid foundation should be like in my mind. It blends very easily with a foundation brush or makeup sponge. I get a light medium coverage with just one layer and gives me a healthy dewy finish. It adheres to the skin so wonderfully. When I apply it to my face it becomes one with the skin and doesn’t look like foundation is sitting on my skin.
In my opinion this a really good foundation to transition into fall. It’s hydrating, but feels light and gives decent coverage and I absolutely love the how it looks on the skin. I wore it out all day yesterday and it lasted about 12 hours, I would recommend setting it with powder so you get the most wear. For the price though it’s fantastic. The foundation costs 38,000KRW for 30mL which is pretty standard for most foundations. If you’re looking to find a new foundation for fall and winter seasons I recommend you try out this one!
