Blushing for blushes

Hey guys!

I got a suggestion to do a post about blushes. I haven’t done a blush on since almost a year ago when I reviewed the Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush. In this post I’ll list a bunch of blushes that are popular among beauty fanatics like myself. This list will include some of my favorites as well as some ones that I would like to try out. So let’s get started!

1. NARS Blush- Orgasm

This has got everyone screamin, shoutin, and holler’n. Its a cult classic and there’s a reason why. NARS blushes are very pigmented, but applies sheer and natural. The color is very flattering on all skin types and blends very nicely because of the fine powder texture. There are similar dupes that are on the market if you don’t want to pay the hefty price of 30.00USD or in Korea it’s 40,000KRW. Consider the alternative MAC Mineralize blush in Petal Power for 4 dollars less.

2. NARS Blush- Exhibit A

Same brand but different color. I really want to get this one because I’ve seen it on people and it looks so pretty! In the pan it is a bright red orange, but on the skin it looks super gorgeous and natural looking. This bold color would look look especially flattering on darker skin. Also because the color is so poppin’ you only need a little bit to go a long way, so it’ll last for a long time too. I would say that I want this more than Orgasm.

3. The Balm Cosmetics- INSTAIN blushes

Oh man, these blushes last sooo long. I own the Argyle color and it is a pretty rose pink. The pigmentation is really good, so you only need a little bit of powder and it’s easy to build up the color intensity. The packaging is super cute and the INSTAIN line has 6 very wearable colors. For 6.5g it costs 22.00USD.

4. e.l.f-blushes

The packaging is similar to the NARS blushes and the product delivers. Its not amazingly great in my opinion but for the 3 dollar price tag it’s a steal. That’s all I have to say about these blushes…

5. Benefit-Dandelion Brightening Finishing Powder

It’s a good blush for light to fair skin. It give a hint of pink to make your complexion more lively and healthy. It seems to be popular with everyone else except me. I think the other colors like Coralista or Rockateur are prettier than Dandelion. Each blush goes for 29.00USD for 42,000KRW which is pretty steep.

6. Wet n’Wild-Color Icon Blusher

I want to get this because it’s cheaper than the e.l.f blush and a lot of other people are raving about the pigmentation and texture. I do like their Color Icon Eye Shadow palettes and I’m sure that I will like the blush as well. These are 2.99USD.

7. MAC-Creamblend Blush

I’ve only tried the powder blushes, but it seems as though the cream blushes are more popular with the beauty crowd. It’s long wearing and blendable. Even in hot humid weather people claim that it sticks and doesn’t melt off. Each cost 22.00USD or 32,000KRW and there are 5 colors to choose from.

8. Clinique-Cheek Pop Blush

Amazing colors to choose from and long wearing, these another blush that I would like to purchase in the future. The formula is baked and powderless so it leaves your skin looked naturally pinched perfect with out any powder residue. Each costs 22.00USD or 30,000KRW.

9. Tarte-Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush

I think all of the Amazonian Clay products are awesome! The texture is super smooth and blends really nicely. This baked blush lasts a long time and the clay ingredient helps both oily skin and dry skin. The color range is also very big so there’s a shade for everyone. Each costs 28.00USD.

10. Bourjois-Little Round Pot Blush

This baked blush has been around for ages, 150 years! The texture is fine and smells very luxurious, you almost get the feeling that you’re in the French queen’s beauty room. The colors are not so pigmented but you get a sheer wash of color that is easy not to mess up. If a blush has been a favorite for a 150 years and a sister company with Chanel, then I think that’s a good sign. Each blush is around 12.00USD and around 20,000KRW.

What are your favorite blushes?
